Heating and Hot Water Controls

The heating and hot water system are on timers so the house should be warm and the water hot during your stay.

If you're too cold (or too hot), feel welcome to adjust the thermostat near the front door by following these steps:

To manually control and change the temperature of your Tado thermostat and operate your water heating system without using the app, follow these steps (or simply call us and we can adjust remotely!):

  1. Wake the Device: Touch the thermostat's display or press any buttons if available to wake the thermostat from sleep mode.

  1. Access the Temperature Control: Look for the temperature display on the screen. Use the up or down arrows to access the tempurature control feature.

  2. Adjust the Temperature: Use the ^ and ⌄ controls to set your desired temperature. The display will show the new temperature setting as you adjust it.

  1. Confirmation: The set tempurature will flash and the unit may click indicating the heating has been turned on (or off).

  2. NOTE: Manual Override: Changing the temperature will override any programmed schedules for a set duration but the programmed will restart on the next scheduled time.

  4. Wake the Device: Similar to temperature adjustment, begin by waking up your Tado device.

  5. Navigate to Water Control: Press the round button multiple times until you see the tap with water drops icon.

  6. Turn Water On/Off: Once in the water heating control menu, you should have the option to turn the heating on or off. This is be done by pressing the up or down buttons. The screen will show water is "On" or "Off".

  1. Confirm the Change: Like temperature settings, the water heating command will flash and adjust accordingly.

General Tips

  • Manual Override Considerations: When you manually override the thermostat or water heating settings, be aware that this can temporarily disable automatic schedules or smart features.
  • Battery and Power: If your thermostat does not respond to manual inputs, check if it is powered correctly or if batteries need replacement. A battery icon will show if the batteries are low. Please contact us in this case.
